Before starting off, warm your battery up to running temperature. You can do this by preheating the interior, which you can switch on from the comfort of your home via an app.

If your car is connected to a charger, start the interior or seat heating using the app. This saves your battery because the power is taken directly from the mains and not from the battery itself.

Use a fast charger only when you’re in a rush, especially in winter. The golden rule here, as always, is ideally to charge up to 80%. Respect that, and your battery will last far longer.

In the winter, as in other seasons, an easy, smooth driving style is best for your battery. This doesn’t mean you should forgo a trip to the mountains; if you take proper care of your battery, your electric car will tackle harsher conditions with ease.
